The Best Night Lights on Beanter

Night lights are one of the last things I'd think to add to your shopping list as an adult. But the bruise on my thigh—which I've sustained by running into my living room couch every few nights—tells me I should put them on there. In fact, they should probably be one of the first items on my list.

Over time, my desire for a night light has evolved from being fear-based, to being nonexistent, to being born out of sheer necessity. As a child and adult, I relied on night lights to illuminate my room so I could keep an eye on any monsters that decided to pop out of my closet or emerge from underneath my bed. And now, as I find myself running into furniture and stepping on crap I've left lying around my house, I regret ever ridding my life of my trusted night light—which could now protect me from the monster known as clumsiness. While I'm no longer afraid of the dark, I'm certainly afraid of my inability to drowsily navigate it.
